VOICES OF RECOVERY
There are some things lived experience can say differently.
Recovery is rarely neat enough to fit into a before-and-after story.
Voices of Recovery is a space for poetry and writing by people with lived experience of eating disorders and recovery — for the thoughts, contradictions, grief, anger, hope and ordinary moments that clinical language cannot always hold.
This is not a collection of recovery success stories. It is a space for honest expression of what living with , and moving through , an eating disorder can actually feel like.
About the writing
Writing shared here is included with the writer's explicit permission. Writers can choose how , or whether, they are identified, including by name, pseudonym or anonymously.
The experiences expressed belong to each individual writer. They do not represent a particular way that recovery should look.
